Dear participants,


Welcome to the Essential GDPR Training. In this course, you will explore data protection through some introductory material and gain an appreciation of the scope and context around the subject. This training course includes a brief introduction to data protection essential concepts, obligations of the data processor and data controller, and rights of data subjects. This course allows you to begin the journey into compliance with data protection laws such as the GDPR.


This course will help you to understand what obligations and responsibilities you have with respect to the protection of personal data and what role you play in preserving privacy. The course concludes with a discussion around some practical examples and puts forward some questions for further thought.


After completing the course, you will have gained an awareness of key data protection principles. You will be able to identify data protection risks in your work.
